Discover the Untouched Flora & Fauna of the Southern Tanzania

Day 1: Immediately after breakfast, with picnic lunch driver to Kitulo National Park – Garden of God. Walking excursion crossing the grasslands to watch wildflowers

Day 2: Upon arrival at Mbeya Airport you will be met by your driver guides and transfer you to Utengule Coffee Lodge for your overnight, half board. 

Locals refer to the Kitulo Plateau as Bustani ya Mungu - The Garden of God – while botanists have dubbed it the Serengeti of Flowers, host to ‘one of the great floral spectacles of the world’. And Kitulo is indeed a rare botanical marvel, home to a full 350 species of vascular plants, including 45 varieties of terrestrial orchid, which erupt into a riotous wildflower display of breathtaking scale and diversity during the main rainy season of late November to April.

Day 3: After breakfast at the lodge drive to Iringa for a visit to Isimila Pillars stone age which is an important archaeological site situated at about 20 kilometres from Iringa town, along Mbeya road on a large plateau dominated by charming granite rock relieves. In the deposits of Isimila central valley there are several lithic tools, often associated to rests of big wild Mammals, especially hippos, the usual preys of Paleolithic hunters. Proceed to proceed to Ruaha National park for your overnight at Ruaha River Lodge, full board.

Day 4:With picnic lunch depart for full day game drive enjoying the landscape and scenery of this unique National park, overnight at Ruaha River Lodge, full board

Day 5: On this day you will be accompanied by an armed ranger for early morning walking safaris inside the park, return to the camp for breakfast. Morning hours shall be set at your own leisure at the camp, at about 1530hrs depart for sunset game drive in the park. Overnight at Ruaha River Lodge, full board

Day 6: Breakfast at the lodge thereafter drive through Iringa town to Mikumi National Park. Check in at the camp and at about 1600hrs depart for late evening game drive in the park. Overnight at Vuma Hill Tented Camp, full board

Day 7: On this day depart for a day excursion to Udzungwa Mountain National Park. Picnic lunch shall be provided. Before the end of the day drive back to Mikumi for your overnight, full board.

Day 8: Depart for early sunrise game drive in the park, return to the camp for breakfast thereafter drive back to Dar es salaam for the drop off at the Airport to catch your outbound flight.
